Toivottavasti huominen on parempi. Tänään hän näki piurletteja... pirunlettejä... piruettejä... Hanna näki aivan Clark Kentin näköisen miehen ja myöskin Clark Kentin näköisen vastasyntyneen tyttövauvan.
~*~*~*~
My right foot has been aching for a couple of weeks now. It's fine one day and bad the next. But with the help of my both feet, I dragged myself to the ward at 7am. The day felt like it was never going to end! Nothing really happened at the ward. I kept myself busy with all the basic chores that I already know. I did turn one antibiotic bottle in my hands for it to mix properly and I did clean one bloody hand after a cannula came out. Those were pretty much the highlights of my day training-wise.
I could criticize that the nurses don't really involve the student. No one tells (in understandable English anyway) what happening and where so it's hard to make yourself involved. But primarily I came to see how local ward works in practice. I'm still terrified over the hygiene and the privacy protection but otherwise I've started to understand how things are generally done around here. Though I do wonder how none of the nurses cannulate but always go and ask for the doctor to do it.
I did end up in a conversation about our shared bathroom which soon turned into a conversation of our shared bath and the male nurses and nurse assistants started to ask our monthly rent and whether the flat was all-female...
Susanna had a rather confusing day without her mentor. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. Hanna saw a man who looked exactly like Clark Kent and also a baby-girl who looked like Clark Kent.
Tähän tyyliin... / Like this...
