Thailand – day 3 (MHS)

Aamupäivä kului tänään lepäillessä edelleen flunssan vuoksi. Olo on kyllä kohtalaisesti parantunut eilisestä – pystyn peräti jo hengittämään välillä! Lähdimme puolen päivän jälkeen Elinan kanssa kaupunkiin. Minä istuin kiltisti vielä Elinan mopon kyydissä, siellä thaimaalainen liikenne vielä pelottaa. Se on kaikella tapaa hieman sekalainen ja vieläpä vasemmanpuoleinen. Olisin ajanut useampaan kertaa jo kolarin tänään. Lisäksi mopo on manuaalivaihteinen, olen ajanut tähän mennessä vain automaattia, joten totuttelemista on.
Elina näytti hieman kaupunkia (kaikki kadut näyttää toistaiseksi samalta) ja haimme ruokaa. Ostin lisäksi paikallisen liittymän siltä varalta, että jos eksyn niin pystyn helpommin kysymään tietä. Paikallispuhelut maksaa ensimmäiseltä minuutilta 2 bahtia ja siitä eteenpäin 50 satangia (0,5 bahtia) minuutilta. Pidän varmaan enimmäkseen thai-sim-korttia puhelimessa, että uuden numeron saa sähköpostilla kysymällä.
Oli suunnitelmissa ladata tähän muutama valokuvakin, mutta tässä koneessa ei ole USB-liitintä, kun se on niin vanha. Ja minä jätin läppärini kotiin, koska... tuota… olen IDIOOTTI! Yritän keksiä jonkin muun keinon...

I mostly rested in the morning for this flu. I’m feeling a bit better than yesterday - I can even breath at times! Around mid-day I left for downtown with Elina. I sat nicely on her moped while she was allowed to do the driving. The traffic is rather scary. It’s rather messy in every way possible and to make it worse they drive on the wrong side of the road, the left. I would’ve crashed more than once today. And the moped I got is manual and I’ve been driving automatic so there are lots to get used to.
Elina showed me the town (all the streets look the same at moment) and we bought some take-away. I also bought a local sim card for my phone incase I get lost I can ask instructions easily. Local calls cost 2 baths for the first minute and after that 50 satangs (0,5 bahts) per minute. I’ll probably mostly keep the Thai sim card on my phone so my new number is easiest to get through email query.
I had plans to put some photos up but this old computer does not have a USB port for it’s so old. And I left my laptop home because… well… I am STUPID! I try to figure out some other way…
